Dedication

In Loving Memory

Ken Giddes
July 23, 1937 - January 27, 2001

The Caring Ambassadors Hepatitis C Program dedicates this book in loving memory of Ken Giddes. As a stage IV lung cancer survivor for over four years, Ken was the first Caring Ambassador. He dedicated the last years of his life to helping others with lung cancer and other forms of cancer. Ken was also our mentor in developing the Caring Ambassadors Hepatitis C Program. He was the epitome of a Caring Ambassador, reaching out to others struggling to survive a life-threatening illness.

Ken was and continues to be our inspiration. He inspires us to research all the options for people living with hepatitis C, and to empower them with knowledge about their disease. He inspired us to write this book for all of you who are living with hepatitis C.

To Ken and all the patient advocates working tirelessly around the world for the people they represent, we thank you.
